Job Summary:
The Parts Retail, Sales Associate is responsible for obtaining parts and accessories for both the mechanical shop and retail customers. As well as assist with inventory ordering, stocking and control.
Job Responsibilities:
. Promptly meet and assist both the technician and the retail guest in a friendly and courteous manner
. Obtain the correct parts and accessories for both the technician and the retail guest in a timely manner
. Accurately price parts and accessories using the proper pricing source and transfer the information to the proper document and computer system
. Answer telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy the caller's inquiry
. Stock incoming inventory in the correct location
. Maintain the parts department in clean and orderly manner
. Provide clients with needed information and offer additional sales opportunities
. Create and maintain merchandising displays to promote product sales
. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers and suppliers
. Adheres to all company policies, procedures and safety standards
Required Experience:
Qualifications:
. Must meet company's requirements for employment
. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
. One year of experience in an automotive parts department (preferred)
. One year of sales experience (preferred)
. Professional appearance
. Ability to work well with the public, sometimes with several customers at a time
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
. Required to move throughout the parts shelves all-day, reaching and climbing to obtain parts from inventory
. Stand six to eight hours during a shift at the customer counter
. Must be able to lift up to seventy-five pounds
. Must be able to climb at least two flights of stairs
. Will be exposed to noise, dust and exhaust fumes, paint and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
. Ability to work in various working conditions both indoors and outdoors, including but not limited to extreme heat and/or cold, and rain
. Ability to kneel, bend, and/or reach above the shoulders
